Privacy Policy

Last updated: 6 September 2026

Placeholder notice: this is a starting-point draft, not legal advice — fill in the bracketed fields below and have it checked before you rely on it commercially, especially given Premium will handle payments for EU customers (GDPR applies).

1. The short version

CraftPanel is self-hosted. Your Minecraft servers, worlds, player data, backups, and console logs live entirely on your own computer — CraftPanel does not upload them anywhere, and there is no CraftPanel-run cloud that sees them. The sections below cover the small amount of data involved in running the app itself and in a Premium purchase.

2. What the free app does and doesn't collect

  • No account. The free app doesn't require sign-up or a login.
  • No telemetry or analytics are sent from the app about your servers, worlds, or how you use it.
  • Update checks. The app checks GitHub's release feed to see if a newer version is available. This is a network request to GitHub (not to CraftPanel) and doesn't send any information identifying you.
  • Modrinth searches. Searching for mods, plugins, or modpacks sends your search text to Modrinth's public API, the same as visiting modrinth.com would.

3. What a Premium purchase involves

Premium checkout and billing are handled by Stripe. When you buy Premium:

  • Your payment details (card number, etc.) are entered directly into Stripe's checkout and are never seen or stored by CraftPanel.
  • CraftPanel receives, from Stripe, the information needed to issue and email you a license key: your email address, which plan you bought, and the payment status.
  • Your license key and the email it was issued to are stored so the app can validate the key and so a subscription renewal or lifetime purchase can be looked up if you need support.

Stripe's own privacy policy governs the payment data it collects directly: stripe.com/privacy.

4. Cookies

This website does not set analytics or advertising cookies. [Update this section if you add analytics, a cookie-consent banner, or embedded third-party widgets later.]

5. Data retention

License and billing records are kept for as long as needed to provide Premium and to meet [your] tax/accounting record-keeping obligations, then deleted. You can ask for your data to be deleted sooner — see Your rights below — subject to what we're legally required to retain.

6. Your rights

If you're in the EU/EEA or UK, you have rights under GDPR to access, correct, export, or delete the personal data described above. To exercise any of these, contact contact@kiqa-dev.it.

7. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.
